WOOL DUTIES LESS. MEAT FREE. Prose Assn—By Telegraph—Copyright Received 10.20 p.m. Washington, March 19. A democratic majority of the House in committee on ways and means voted to make raw wool dutiable at fifteen per centum ad valorem, with substantial reductions from the present rates charged on woollen manufactures.
The Committee placed meat upon the free list, leaving live cattle dutiable.
