DAYIS CUP MATCH. WANTED BY AMERICA. Prees Aesn—By Telegraph—Copyright Received 9.35 p.m. Sydney, March 19. The American Tennis Association has cabled asking that the preliminary round for the Davis Cup may be played in America instead of in England, stating that it will be impracticable to play in England on June 21, the time fixed for the completion of the match, and suggesting that if Australasia is unable to agree to play in America the match may be played on June 23rd after the All England Championships. They undertake to furnish a substantial guarantee if the match is played in America.
