ADVERTISING MEMORANDA.
To-day at 1 o'clock Mr Harry Palmer holds an auction sale of the furniture and effects of Mr G. Ward, of Taonui street. A valuable section containing a dwelling will also be sold.
Messrs Mounsey and Co. announce that a sale will be held on Tuesday next of the whole of the furniture and effects of Mr W. L. Scott, wellknown in Palmerston, who is leaving the town. Only a preliminary announcement is made as yet and details of the lots to be sold will be given later. The sale will be an important one. Mr S. J. Whiteford announces that he has acquired the Post Office Hotel in Broad street and patrons can rely upon obtaining the best wines and spirits —true to label. Mr Whiteford was previously the popular host of the Breakwater Hotel, New Plymouth. Old friend of Miss Stella Jamieson wants to hear from her.
Married couples wanted and servants at the Don Registry Office. At the Club Hotel another large shipment of Tucker's blend whisky has arrived.
