Mr P. H. Illingworth, Liberal M. P. for Shepley, Manchester, denounced the attacks made upon territorials, and declares that they are excellently fitted for their allotted tasks.

"The attempt to stampede the country into conscription is an infamous crime against mankind which the Liberals will energetically resist.
