Mr Walter Fuller, of the wellknown firm of Messrs Fuller and Son, is a visitor to Palmerston today. A quiet wedding took place at St. Peter's Church, Wellington, last week, when Miss Dora Stevens, of the G. P. (). staff, was married to Mr C. J. Norton, Postmaster at Ashburton, and formerly of Pahiatua. Mr M. A. Eliott, President of the Chamber of Commerce, will stand a* one of the representatives of tli® Manawatu district on the Wellington Harbour Board. An election entails the taking of a poll at all the electoral polling places. With Easter so close at hand,*ladie« will be glad of the opportunity of perfectly fresh styles for autumn wear in ready-made costumes. Sports costume! in rough tweeds and walking costume! in tweeds and navy serges have just been opened by Collinson and Cunninghame at " The Rendezvous." Thes« have been given a window display and. inspection of the goods is verv cordially invited. %*
