A rink of Feilding bowlers, skipped by Mr Bartholomew, visited Terrace End on Saturday, and defeated a rink skipped by Mr Sollitt by 38 to 2 for the Easter Cup presented by Manson and Barr. Our rink was heartily congratulated on arrival home. Other victorious Feilding rinks were those skipped by Geo. Saywell, 25—14; Stewart. 25—13; James, 23—12; Garrett's team was defeated by 17 —13. CRICKET. Representatives of Park A and B teams met the Post Office team in the annual fixture on Saturday. The Park team proved too good, putting up 1(5(5 in their first innings. Power 22 and (50, C. Robbie 22 and 60, F. McLeod 22 and 60. GOOD SHOOTING. The Saturday afternoon squad of senior cadets made their first appearance at the range on Saturday under Lieut. Fisher, *when the preliminary practices of class firing were gone through. , The shooting was very good, even consideiing that it was the first occasion on which many of the boys had handled a rifle. Cadet Ellis was the best shot, scoring two possibles. Cadets Innes Jones and Sergt. Buckeridge also ■cored possibles. A gold medal has been presented for boys making the best average in class firing, and a silver medal with gold centre for second best. Both medals are anonymous donations. FRUIT PACKING. Orchardists in Feilding district should not forget that a demonstation in packing apples is being given this afternoon at jMrs A. R. Mayo's nursery, Aorangi, by the Government orchardist. Mr Geo. Stratford. The demonstration commences at 2 p.m., and all are invited. Mr Stratford has had considerable Canadian, Home and colonial experience, and is happy in his methods of illustration. There should be a big attendance.
