FIRE IN FRISCO.
i LODGERS LEAP TO DEATH. Press Asrrt—By Telegraph—Copyright New York, January 9. A great fire at San Francisco destroyed a number of lodging-houses. The inmates had to leap for their lives. Three persons are dead and many injured. A gas explosion injured numbers of police. A lodger, while escaping wrapped in a blanket, stumbled over a prostrate lonian and dragged her to safety through a flaming stairway.
