COLLECTIONS IN CANTERBURY. , (Press Association.—By Telegraph. Christchurch, Last Night. Adjutant H. P. Sharp, of "the Salvation Army, representing Commissioner Richards, of Wellington, commenced his work in Christchurch to-day in connection with the erection of the New Zealand memorial to the late General Booth.
Mr R. E. McDougall has opened thft list in this city with a donation of £IOO.
Adjutant Shaw, who will remain here for some days, has already ▼isited Oamaru, Timaru, and Culverden, in which three places approxi-' mately £IOOO was donated.
