Taft, the President-elect of the United States, visit the Panama Canal in January, hoping to counteract the reports of disaster to the Gatiru dam, which many believe has occurred, though il> is officially denied. THE DUTCH-VENEZUELA DISPUTE. London, Last Night. Router's agent at Curacoa, a Dutch island in the West Indies, reports that the Dutch cruiser Zelderland captured the Venezuelan coastguard ship Alix off Puerto Cabella, a seaport of Venezuela. The crew were seut ashore and the vessol taken to Willemstad, the capital of Curacoa.
