Caulfield Cup Running.

Press Association—Copyright. Receiver! October 27. 0.40 p.m. Melbourne, October 26.

It is believed that the story regarding the running in the Caulfield Cup is not yet disclosed, as stated. Mr U. Cleland, owner of Apologue, being upset over the result of the race, suggested to the V.A.J.C. Committee to hold an inquiry. The suggestion was not, received favorably* and Mr Cleland then demanded an inquiry. The Committee, after consideration, replied it would hold an inquiry if Mr Cleland would agree to pay all expenses of same. Mr Cleland is now considering the Committee's proposals. In any case, Coffee, who rode Apologue in the Caulfield Cup, is not likely to ride the New Zealauder in the Melbourne Cup. May King pulled up slightly lame after winning the Moonee Valley Cup.
