The Stock Market.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Ompany, Ltd., report that at their sale at Himatangi on Monday stock did not come forward as advertised owing to difficulty in mustering on account of the recent heavy rains. Additional cattle, however, came in, and a good sale resulted, several pens of fat and forward cows selling wall, and only two pens being unsoM. Quotations.— Sheep: Store lambs 8s 9d, good lambs 128 Id, fat ev.-es 14s. Cattle : Weaners 10s to 20s, 15-montlis' steers £2 2s, 18-months lit-iters 27s 6d, store cows 27s 6d to 355, forward cows £2 103, fat cows £3 14s to £4 6s, springing heifers £2 7s <>d to £3 10s, year steers £4 9s 6d, forward bullocks £5 14s. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., held their sale in Marton on Tuesday last. Shep and cattle came forward in excess of advertised numbers and all sold readily under the hammer, a total clearance resulting. We quote Forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers 16s sd, lambs from 8s 6d to 13s Id, culls 6s 3d, empty ewes 10s 6d, Shropshire 2-tooth owes in lamb 14s 7d, fat ewes 13s 5d to 14s 3d. Cattle: Fat cows £4 10s to £4 14s, 2-year steers £3 15s 6d, 3-year steers £5 Is, mixed yearlings 40s fad, empty heifers 32s 6d, cows in calf £2 lis. Pigs: Slips 9s 6d to 10s, weaners 5s 6d to 6s 9d, stores 13s 6d.
