Russia and Japan have agreed on the text of a commercial treaty embodying specific concessions on each side. Adelaide, May 4. An application was made for a recount of the votes at the recent Senate election. On a petition against the return of Mr Yardon, it transpired that 9000 odd votes had been accidentally burned in clearing out old documents from the Returning Officer's office.
