Mr Tustin; of Feilding, met with a painful accident yesterday. While removing bricks from a chimney which had been left standing after the recent fire, the brickwork gave way, and in the fall Mr Tustin had a rib* broken and sundry bruises. The fire police corps meeting, at which there was only a small attendance, was postponed until Tuesday 23rd. The Kiwitea Council will meet on Saturday next.
The local branch of the Farmers' Union is making arrangements to hold its annual picnic at Waituna West on March 1. Catering for outside visitors will be placed in the hands of Mr Kitchin, Feilding.
