The entry was large, and likewise . the attendance. Prices were not so keen compared with former years, though the sale is in keeping with others in Palmerston and elsewhere. The Kimboiton residents are moving in the direction of establishing a swimming club and baths in the locality. It is " up to Feilding " to " get a move on" in this respect. Mr Tustin; of Feilding, met with a painful accident yesterday. While removing bricks from a chimney which had been left standing after the recent fire, the brickwork gave way, and in the fall Mr Tustin had a rib* broken and sundry bruises. The fire police corps meeting, at which there was only a small attendance, was postponed until Tuesday 23rd. The Kiwitea Council will meet on Saturday next.

The local branch of the Farmers' Union is making arrangements to hold its annual picnic at Waituna West on March 1. Catering for outside visitors will be placed in the hands of Mr Kitchin, Feilding. The early bird catches the worm ! The residents of Feilding rejoice, in the fact that the Manawatu Times, which contains all the latest invaluable news from the seat oi war, is now delivered at their residences just as they are opening their eyes in the morning to catch a glimpse of the rays of the rising sun.
