The second monthly competition for the President's trophy takes place this afternoon. The following are the handicaps : Mrs Wilson, scr.; Mrs A. htrang, 5 ; Mrs Monro, 8; Mrs Cohen, 10; Mrs Moore, 10; Miss Slack, 10 ; Mrs Mellsop, 14; Miss Fraser, 16. As this contest will be .-bbgey.play. the committee have fixed the following " Bogey" score for ladies:.9, 8, 6, 8, 5, 5,' 7, 5, 6, equal to 59 for the nine holes. To-day's match will berover 14 holes, the first 9 consisting of Oirce round, then Nos. 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9. . Next Wednesday a 14-hole bogey. match will be played among the ladies for a trophy kindly presented by Mrs Monro. Next Saturday week, 18th July, a Men's.. Stroke Handicap match will be played, for which the secretary is prepared to receive entries up to-the 17th inst.-l - Should : there' he sufficient entries at Is per head, a trophy will begiven for second place as well as first.
