Poultry Show. Flutter Football Match. Feilding, Last Night. Mr R. Goodman, secretary of the Poultry Association, reports an entry of 400 for the forthcoming show. This shows a decrease on last's entries, but it is highly satisfactory considering the number of poultry shows that clash with th&:-'date; The committee have arranged to have-a banquet on the evening of the show. , ■ •. The local carriers and butchers have decided to have a" little nutter " football match at the end of the season. They intend taking .'aj.little recreation, and combining business with pleasure, propose to drive over and view the grounds laid out for-the proposed water and drainage scheme! . The Feilding Chamber of Commerce have moved in the matter of obtaining telephone communication between Feilding and Wellington.' ■Mr J. W. Bramwell, in moving in the matter, referred to the communication with Wanganui, which had tended to increase our trade, and also placed townspeople af a ': great advantage. , .'.......".- At the Feilding School .Committee! meeting, Mr Hill, headmaster, reported' that out of an attendance of 280 at the; re-opening of the school, there was vow; a decrease of 125 absent through sick-.' ness. A new brewery is erected, and has' eommeneed operations opposite the school. It was decided at the meeting to protest against its existence. .
