A LADY NAVIGATES AN AIRSHIP
The honour of being the first lady to navigate an air-ship has fallen to Mrs Stanley Spencer, vhe wife of the wellknown aeronaut. On Monday, July 14th, she successfully navigated" the Mellm air-ship around the polo ground at the Baystal Palace. The aeostat behaved admir.ibly and was under perfect control The Mel1 in air-ship is proving itself all that was expected, and Mr Spencer will shorirlj- take a ride over London in it. It will be remembered that Mr SantosDiimont promised Miss lloosevelt that she should be the first hidy to navigate an air-ship, but an Englishwoman has forestalled her.
