A.N.A. CLUB
The Sunday entertainment arranged by the A.N.A. dance committee for members of the Forces drew the usual large attendance and a bright time was enjoyed. The hostesses were Mesdames J. A. Smith, K. C. Clayton, R. A. Gaisford, J. 11. Whyte and Miss L. McDonald, assistance being afforded them by Mesdames J. A. Grant and E. Dale. The >games were conducted by Miss V. Royal, Miss R. Warren served the soft drinks, and duty as dance hostesses was taken by Misses I?. Rainey and J. Pukiowski. Assistance with the general organisation was given by Messrs J. A. Smith and J. A. Grant. Miss J. Ilesketh and A.C.I Tyler won the Monto Carlo waltz. Members of the W.W.S.A. serviced the canteen, 101 teas and 10 suppers being served. Howls of wattle blossoms formed the colourful decorations in the lounge while vases of snowdrops and winter roses decorated the tables, Mrs J. W. Rutherfurd and Miss D'Ath being responsible for their arrangement. Entertainment was provided by members of the Palmerston North Musio Club and the hostesses wore Mesdames G. Dearlove, W. Scarr and Miss C. Warburton.
