HARRIER TITLES
Tlie West Coast (North Island) Centre's senior and junior cross-country championships were run on Saturday under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A. Harrier Club. The senior race was run over the Mijson deviation course of six and a quarter miles, and K. Galloway, the star performer of the Palmerston North Club, again proved hi<= superiority by clearing out from the field and winning very comfortably from C. Cox, of Wanganui, in the fast time of 34iiiin 45scc. . L. Hawthorne and J. Scott, of Palmerston North, maintained their good form to finish third and fourth. C. Wellcr the national champion, did not compete. Galloway has not been beaten in the five scratch races he has contested this season, and it seems certain that he will extend the Dominion's leading cross-country runnel's at the Now Zealand championship meeting to be hold at Duncdin on the 18th instant. The junior race, run over three and one-eighth miles, was won quite easily by R. Robertson, of Marton. with M. Harvey, of Palmerston North, second.
