"The most dashing exploit since the bombing of the Mohue Dam, on May 17," is the description • given of the smashing of -lock gates vital to German shipping in Holland by Hurricanes flying at treetop height. Weaving through a storm of shell fire they repeatedly scored bull's-eyes against three locks of the Dansweert canal, which is a shortcut for seagoing ships between Antwerp and German porte and an important link with the Ruhr for barge traffic.
