COLLECTION OF RUBBER

A committee consisting of Messrs K. A. Henderson, J. R. Hughes, G. A> Brown, N. D. Stubbs (representing the Boys Scouts Association) and E. Bary (representing the Headmasters* Association) has in hand arrangements for. a special drive for scrap rubber in incr6ton North. Monday, November 20, lias been decided upon as the collection - day, which shall take the form of a house-to-house collection on the part of school children. A certain number of Army trucks have been promised for transport purposes. Some of the trucks will bo assigned to the business area, which will be canvassed by Boy Scouts. Further particulars will be notified to the public. In tho meantime the committee requests that all householders and business people make a diligent search of their premises for waste rubber, which is urgently needed for tho war effort.
