ESCAPEE RECAPTURED
(Press Assn.) TAIHAPE, Oct. 9. An escapee from Rnngipo_ prison camp, Tokaanu, on Monday, Kenneth Edward Austin, aged 22. was recaptured at Taihape on Wednesday after a police chase through the town. He was charged in the Magistrate s Court and sentenced to 12 months hard labour. It was stated that lie stole military clothing valued at £7 from a camp.
