LOWER GRADE MEN

PROPOSED ARMY POOL

(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 5. Though representations had been made to the military authorities, nothing had been done in connection with the formation of a pool of lower grade men who could be released front camp to replace in industry higher grade men called for service, said Mr R. O. Clark (chairman of the Auckland District Council of Primary Production) at a meeting to-day. The council adopted a resolution regretting the delay in establishing a pool of second and third grade mem Mr H. O. Mellsop said a pool of 2o men in each district should suffice.
