LONDON, Oct. 5.

Vichy has given another turn of the screw in its efforts to export French workers to Germany. The Vichy radio says that all Frenchmen who refuse to obey AI. Laval’s recent order will be reported to the Government, which will consider the punish- | ment to be meted out. Laval’s order makes it compulsory for all men between the ages of 18 and 50 to do [work of national importance. According to a Vichy report 133,000 French workers have yet to be found to satisfy Hitler’s demand as, owing to the reluctance of the French [workers to respond, only 17,000 workers have crossed over to the Reich.
