(Rec. 9.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct 6. Officers and other ranks of tlie United States forces in the South Pacific will be asked to help to pay for the war as well as to fight it. Already American troops are required to pay United States income tax, and officers have now been deputed to carry on an intensive campaign to induce servicemen to subscribe to United States war bonds.
