P. AND T. WOMEN’S LEAGUE

The monthly meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Pest and Telegraph Women’s League was hold in the ladies’ social room at the Chief Post Office, Mrs W. J. Minoguc presiding over a good attendance. The president reported that 15 Christmas parcels had been posted overseas and grants made lo three prisoners of war through their next-of-kin. The committee thanked the licstwomcn, who handed in £6 for the parcels fund, this being the result of their dance, on which they were congratulated. Airs Aliiioguc introduced the speaker, Atrs A. Graham, who gave a talk on floral work and demonstrated the making of evening and day sprays and presentation boxes of flowers in several style*. Mrs Graham was accorded thanks. Mesdames H. Scott and A. Barkwith were the hostesses. The afternoon section was also well attended. Mrs Minoguc presided and Mrs Graham was again the speaker and demonstrator.
