Foreign mission day was observed at the Cuba Street Methodist Church oil Sunday, when the offertories amounted to £BO. The preacher at the morning service was Rev. A. 11. Scrivin, general superintendent of the foreign mission department. On Monday night lie delivered a lecture, illustrated by moving pictures, to a large audience on the work of the Methodist Church in the Western Solomons. At a meeting of the Home and School Association (Intermediate School) over which Air H. Ac Seifert presided, the secretary (Mr AV. Garden) reported that the membership of the association is now 72. Details for the ball were gone into and it was decided not to invite any official guests. Air Seifert is to open the gathering. A report on tho supper arrangements was made by Mrs Bigham. Tho Australian Woolgrotvers’ Council has appointed a sub-committee to investigate and report on marketing wool aflcr the war. A report will bo submitted to tbo next annual meeting of the council, after studying any proposals which may be made by organisations or by New Zealand woolgrowers.
