PATRIOTIC CONCERT. Tho public arc reminded that a grand concert is to be held in tho Majestic 'lhcatre on Thursday, July 31, in aid of the Patriotic Appeal l'kind. The function is being arranged by the Royal New Zealand Air Force Hand, which will havo the cooperation of outstanding artists. Patrons arc assured of a splendid' programme. Civic Club.
At yesterday’s luncheon gathering of tho Fcilding Civic Club, when Mr H. C. D. Somerset spoke on tho work of Mr llcwi Alley in China, tho following resolution was carried : —“That the FeildLng Civic Club offers its felicitations to Mr Rowi Alley _ and expresses its appreciation of his initiative and success in his practical plan towards tho regeneration of China under its period of pressure against an invading foe.” A. and P. Association’s Support. A cheque for £25 lias been received by tho Fcilding It.S.A., as a contribution to its patriotic api>enl canvass, from the Fcilding A. and I*. AssociaParcels Acknowledged.
