DOMINION AIRMEN

(Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, July 22. Information has been received by Air Headquarters, Wellington, that D.F.C.’s have been awarded to Acting-Squadron-Leader lan Gordon Richmond and Pilot-Officer George Ronald Simich. Richmond was born at Nelson in 1915 and in 1937 was accepted for a short-service commission with the 11.A.F. in England. His father is Mr Gordon Richmond, of Takaka. Simich was born at Auckland in 191 b and was selected for a short-service commission in 1939. but lie commenced training with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in November, 1939. His father is Mr M. E.
