GIRLS’ MUSIC CLUB.

A musieidc, the proceed- from winch are to be devoted to the patriotic funds, was he'd in < -'t. .Andrew’s Hall last evening by the Palmerston North Girls’ Music tlub and as a result .quite a large amount will he available. The programme was well prepared and interest was maintained throughout. Tho hall was decorated by Mrs M. F. Faddy with Iceland poppies and ferns. The work of the instrumental trio, the glee singers and the string octette came in for much applause; their pro entation was of the highest order. The glee singers wore Mcsdamcs Inkpen, Crawford, R ddlc, Ferguson and McDowell, and Misses Corke, James, Young, Clark, Williams, White, Kennedy and Carey. The string octette consisted of Mcsdamcs R. S. Law (leader), 11. Palmer and Smith, and Misses 13. Bartlett, J. Findlay and B. and M. Sieely; and the pianist was Mrs I. K. Rickard. The aecompanisles were Mrs Rickard and Misses E. Eyre and L. Btiick, and Mr Hamilton. Dickson was conductor for the glee singers and the string octette. The stage managers were Messrs M. F. Eaddy and W. J. Crawford.
