SEIZURE OF MILLS
(Roc. 11.40 a.m.) NANKING. July 14. The Government has announced that it is taking over on August 1 two Chinese owned cotton mills, of which one is registered as British and the other American. This action is taken on the ground that the mills tire owned by the Chungking Government. The correspondent of the United Press says the foreign authorities are extremely concerned, because the registrants declare they will continue to operate the mills despite Nanking's order. The mills arc located in that part of the settlement guarded by United States marines. i
