GO-SLOW TACTICS.
(Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, July 14. Advice that the coal output at the Dobson mine was normal to-day ha* been received bv the Minister of Mines (Hon. P. C. Webb). A director of Grey Valley Collieries, Ltd., claimed last week that a drop of 40 per cent.! in the output since the men went 1 back to work after the dispute which ended on June 27 was due to go-slow tactics. Mr Webb said that when he addressed the men last week he them to give the greatest production possible as the country needed coal at the present time. He liad received advice that a meeting or the men was held on Sunday and that the production was now normal. Reports from the Blackball minc,| which has been taken over by the Gov-, eminent, were very satisfactory, Mr • Webb added. Production was increas- 1 ing greatly and he was confident the! mine would soon be a paying proposition. The contract system adopted was enabling the men to earn, good wages. I
