WAITUNA WEST.

A dance was hold recently in the hall for the purpose of making a presentation :to Miss The Una Old and Mr K. Green, who were about to be married. Mr N. V. I Shannon handed Miss Old a large number !of useful gifts and wished her and Mr : Green good fortune. Musical honours were accorded the young couple and dancing continued on iill midnight, the music being provided by Mr Roy Coleman. A large number gathered at: the ball when the Young' Farme're' Club held itfc annual dance, the proceeds being handed in to the patriotic funds. The stage had been attractively decorated and to the committee and their band of helpers credit must be given for the capable organisation displayed. Music was supplied by a profe'ebionai orchestra, Mr A. IT. Sowerby acting as M.C. The lucky Clay Gordons dance was won by Mrs B. Tuck and Mr M. England. Loading-Aircraftsman W. MocLcan, from Levin, has been visiting relatives at Waitnna West. r/cadinsr-Aircraftsman J. Southall, from Levin, alco was a visitor to the district.
