HANOVER ATTACKED
BIG R.A.F. RAID. BERLIN ALSO BOMBED. (United Press Association—Copyright) (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 10 a.m.) RUGBY, May 16. An Air Ministry communique states that the objective ot last night’s R.A.F. offensive operations included the docks at Calais, Boulogne and Dieppe. The Bomber Command attacked targets in Germany. Hanover, it is learned, was the, main objective of a strong force of aircraft. Many fires were started in the industrial quarters of the town. Some ol our largest bombers attacked Berlin, and smaller attacks were made on objectives at Hamburg and 'Cuxhaven. Four aircraft of the Coastal Command attacked docks and shipping at St. Nazaire and Lorient, and other aircraft attacked the docks at Ijmuiden.
None of our aircraft is missing,
