THE RECENT FLOODS.

(To Ihc Editor.) Sir, — It must indeed be very gratifying to know that during the recent Hoods which have caused havoc to many residents in the district there are still to be lound a number of our worthy citizens who freely give of their services “without money or without price”. “Hats off” to Mr Hcatlev and the Women’s Auxiliary for their unstinted efforts. This worthy gentleman was “on the job” front daylight to dark directing and assisting all and sundry. Palmerston North is indeed very fortunate in having such people in their midst. —Yours, etc., T. CItUICKSHANIv. Mastcrton, 15/5/41.
