PROHIBITION OPPOSED.

(Rec 9.45 a.m.) OTTAWA, March 14. The Canadian Trades and Labour Congress expressed opposition to prohibition, to-day. in a memorandum to the Dominion Government. "We learn from the Press that representations have been made to the Government either to introduce national prohibition or to drastically restrict the sale of alcohol beverages as wartime measures. Therefore we desire to reaffirm our belief that prohibition is anti-social and morally unsound."
