Thursday’s night official communique issued at Nairobi states that it is now confirmed that patriot forces have occupied Yavello, ' 70 miles north of Mega. The patriots arc following up the enemy’s retreat in co-operation with our forces from Dolo. » In Italian Somaliland the British forces surprised the enemy at Daghabur, a post 100 miles south of Jigjiga, and captured some prisoners and lorries in which they were preparing to leave. An Arab dhow approached Mogadishu yesterday with a cargo for the Italian garrison. It attempted to . escape when it realised the port is in British hands, but with the co-operation of the Air Force it was quickly intercepted and captured. (British Official Wireless.)
(Rec. 2.20 p.m.) RUGBY, March 13. An R.A.F. Middle East communique states that an R.A.F. formation made a heavy attack on an aerodrom'e at Rhodes on Wednesday night. At Mari’tza all the bombs fell on tne aefodrome runway or among the hangars. Several explosions were caused by incendiaries.
