INDIANS’ SYMPATHY.
(Rec. 12.15 p.m.) BOMBAY, March 13. A conference of moderate politicians from all parties exoept the Congress and the. Muslim League, passed a resolution congratulating Britain on hei successes in the Near East and the courageousness of the people of the United Kingdom, and requested Britain to state more clearly the terms on which Dominion status can be achieved so that India can more enthusiastically support the war effort. The resolution demanded the reconstitution of the Viceroy’s Executive Council on a more popular basis, particularly asking that the Departments of Defence and Finance should be under the control of experienced members.
