MELODY DANCE CLUB.

There was a very large attendance at the Melody dance on Saturday evening, which was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall owing to the Empire Hall being engaged. The dance, organised as usual by Miss W. R. Hubbard, was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The programme consisted of a variety of old-time and modern dances, including several novelty prize dances. A professional orchestra supplied excellent dance music which kept everyone merry and bright, while Mr Howard York proved a capable M.C. The next Melody dance will be held on Saturday evening, September 28, m the Empire Hall when patrons will have the pleasure of a visit from Miss Beth Parkcs and partner, who will kindly give a demonstration of the rumba. This will be looked forward to with much interest. Patrons are advised to arrive early; extra seating and floor space for the dancers will be available. An excellent novelty dance programme will be arranged, including several modern dances. Full details are advertised elsewhere in this issue.
