BRITISH FREIGHTER
(Rec. 2.5) NEW YORK, Sept. 25. Survivors of a British freighter who were landed at Barrunquilla (Venezuela) reported that a German raider sank the ship off Trinidad on September 3 and thereafter machine-gunned the lifeboats. The survivors drifted for a fortnight before being picked up by a tanker.
