ATTACKS ON ITALY.
PILOTS BRAVE ELEMENTS. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 26, 2.5 p.m. iIUGBT, Aug. 20. Saturday night’s attack on industrial targets in,North-West Italy were carried out in ‘very bad weather. Dense cloud made the location of the targets exceptionally difficult and tiie pilots found a violent thunderstorm raging over the Milan area. in spite of these handicaps the aircraft were able to drop tiieir bombs with success. Two of them attacked the Marelli magneto factory in Milan. Another of the raiders was prevented from dropping his, homos on Milan by the thunderstorm, so he hew northwest and bombed the Suvoia airirame factory at Sesto Caiende. A Rome communique says: “British planes raided Piedmont and Lombardy last night, but were driven otf by our fighters, hhree bombs tell on Borgose* sia, and three more on Alessandria, where a farmhouse was set on tire. In Mariano Comente two civilians were killed and houses were damaged. ibe usual leaflets were dropped."
