GERMAN FALSEHOODS.
SO-CALLED ATTACKS. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 26, 11.20 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 25. According to Dutch circles here, suspicion is increasing in the Netherlands that the Germans are causing explosions in Dutch towns to make the population believe the RAF. are carrying out wanton bombing attacks- —a statement steadily repeated by the-German-controlled wireless stations with much moral indignation on behalf of the defenceless populations, who, incidentally, are under Germany’s so-called protection. The instances given by the Germans have been carefully checked against the official reports of R.A.F. activities, and the conclusion has been reached that the damage, could not possibly have been done by British aircraft. In some cases the damage mentioned by the Germans was caused in- places so far distant from the objectives bombed by the R.A.F; that it was impossible that British pilots could have made a mistake. Tri other cases bombs were-said to have struck named places on nights when the R.A.F. made no raids at all on the occupied area. A Berlin message says' the air raid alarm sounded in Berlin shortly after midnight. *
