GENERAL NEWS.
. METEOR SEEN. Several local residents report having seen tho bright meteor which was observed in 'Wellington on Wednesday evening last, shortly before 7 o’clock. Particularly vivid, the meteor appeared to be travelling in a westerly direction. Funds For Aeroplanes. The Dominion president of the W.D.F.U. (Mrs Noel Adams) has commended the appeal for funds for the provision of aeroplanes for tho British Government' to the branches of the organisation and already donations have been received in Feilding. Further contributions may be left with Mrs R. H. Buchanan or Mrs E. Scott, president and secretary, respectively, of tho Feilding branch.
