Lord Lurgan, the English baritone, has presented the president of 'the Australian Red Cross Society, Lady Gowrie, with a cheque for £450. to commemorate the work of the late Dame Nellie Melba. During the Great War Dame Melba raised more than £IOO,OOO for Red Cross war charities.
