OUDEttJiD TO LEAVE. Pet' Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 27. A fine of £3O, with an order to leave New Zealand forthwith, was imposed on Raymond Dennison, aged 24, when he pleaded guilty in tinMagistrate’s Court to five summonses on charges of sending circulars to persons with intent to induce them to apply to “R. Burke” with a view to obtaining advice for the purpose ol wagering on horse races. The police produced .one of the circulars sent out bv Dennison, who arrived from Australia toward the end of February. “On his own admission lie sent out 1000 circulars each week.” said Detective-Sergeant McHugh. “Though lie doesn't know the horses, he says he was going to study form and would tip good tilings to ‘the mugs’ who would send him £l. He says he got 20 replies a week.” The Magistrate (Mr Orr Walker): Tn ibe circular he says he would refund the £1 sent him if the horses ran unplaced. Mr McHugh: But lie admitted to Detective-Sergeant Alpiu that he had not re-1 untied any money.
