SURGICAL CONGRESS.
CONCLUDES IN HONOLULU,
Received September 25, 8.5 a.m. HONOLULU, Sept. 24. The Pan-Pacific Surgical Congress terminated with an address by the president (Dr. Hardie Neil) on the history of early medical education in the Pacific. Dr. Peter Buck (Te Rangi Hiroa), on behalf of the New Zealand throat surgeons, presented Dr. Chevalier Jackson with the Maori emblem of leadership (a taiaha), and Dr. Jackson was also presented with a boomerang by the Australian * profession. Dr. Reichert, of San Francisco, was elected president and Dr. J. B- Dawson, of Dunedin, and Dr. H.JPoate, of Sydney, vice-presidents. ■
