NAVAL INQUIRY.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. HI. The committee appointed by the Government to investigate the pay allowances of ratings of tho New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy will resume its sittings at Auckland on Monday. This announcement was made after the return of the Leander from the Islands cruise. Portion of tho inquiry was held in Wellington, but the commission has been sitting at Auckland this week. Some of the Leander’s crew have already submitted written statements, but they will be given an opportunity to give evidence before tho committee.
