TALLOW AND lIEMP MARKETS
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from tho High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, dated July 14: Tallow:— -Market continues quiet. J resent spot quotations are: Mutton, fine 225, good 20s, fair 15? 6d to 16s; beef, fine, none; good 17?, fair 15s to 15? 6d ; mixed, good 17s, fair 15s to 15s 6d, gut 13s 6d to 15s; mutton, dark to dull, 14s 6d to 16s; beef, dark to dull, 13s 6d to 15s. Hemp.—Manila : Market firmer, with good demand. “K" grade Jnly-Septeni-her shipment, sold up to £l6 5s Sisal : Market steady. July-Septcmbcr shipment sold £ls, Septcmber-Xovember shipment, £ls 7s 6d. LONDON FRUIT MARKET. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, dated July 14: Fruit.—Fair demand. No improvement in prices. Granny Smith apples, 9s 6d to 11s 6d; Dougherty, 9s to 10s 6d; Yates, Rokewood. 9s to 10s; Statesman, bs 6d Ito 10s; Stunner, 8s to 9s.
