ARMY RECRUITING.

ENGLAND’S RECORD MONTH. (British Official Wireless). Received June 12, 8.5 a.m. RUGBY, June 10. Recruiting for the Regular Army last mouth easily beat all records since the Great War. The men accepted numbered G 266, an increase of 2356 over the same period last year. Reports from the chief centres show that the medical examination of the militia recruits is revealing an unexpectedly high standard of national health and physique. About 100,000 men have been examined by 150 medical boards in the past two days, and comparatively few have been rejected as unfit.

The medical standard required of the militia is at least ns high as that for a first-class insurance policy.
