CLEARING SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Go., Ltd., report holding a clearing sale on account of Mr (A (A A oule, Raiimai Load. Ashluirst, on Thursday last : The nlVcring was submitted to a medium attendance of tbc, public, but the biding throughout wan very spirited and a. good sale resulted. The dairy herd came forward in splendid sale order, the cows being in good condition and duo to calve early in the season. r ! ho whole herd of 32 averaged £lO 14s. The farm implements wore somewhat slower of sale than usual at fixtures of this kind. Quotations arc as follow: —June cal vers, £9 5 s to £l2 10s; July calvers, £lO to £l4 10s; August cal vers, £lO 5s to £l3 ss; September calvers, £8 10s to £l4 10>; empty and three-quarter cows, £2 150 to £6; heifers in calf, £8 5s to £9 15s; heifer weaiiers, to £3: horses (aged), £5 to £l6; sows and litters, to. £5 10s. The horses, with the exception of two. wore old sorts, very little interest being shown, the two younger horses sold at fair values considering the fact that we are. in the off season. A quantity of sundries arid plant met with fair competition.
