LONDON INVESTMENT MARKETS. LONDON, June 9. The investment markets have linirlted in a lame fashion under the impact of the poor reception given to 'the Australian loan. This has come as a blow to the giltedged section of the market. In addition (here is a. recrudescence of alarmist rumours concerning the international situation. liuriiness has again dwindled to negligible proportions. Prices of shares based on commodities have weakened appreciably, and commodities themselves have relapsed into a state of ipiiet.ndc, though the reserve displayed by sellers lias prevented prices from slipping. The total amount applied for in tenders for £45,000.000 of Treasury hills was £60.790,000. The maximum amount wa s allotted in bills at three months and the average rate per cent, is 14s 5.23 d, as against 13s 1.65 d a week ago.
